Joshua A. Corben, O.D.

Joshua A. Corben graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Biology. While at ASU, he did extensive research in the area of Cell Biology specializing in Human Corneal wound healing. He attained his Doctor of Optometry from The inter-American School of Optometry in 2002. With his training & knowledge of the cornea, he takes special pride in teaching his patients critical information pertaining to refractive surgery. He is the past-president of the San Fernando Valley Optometric Society. He was awarded the prestigious “2009 Young Optometrist Of the Year in California” by the California Optometric Association and has recently been appointed to the Interview Committee of his School of Optometry. Dr. Corben is fluent in Spanish and actively spends time in the Santa Monica area providing free eye exams for the homeless. Dr. Corben is also a guest lecturer for the College of the Canyons Nursing School and writes a monthly editorial in The Magazine of Santa Clarita. When he is not working he enjoys cycling, and most importantly spending time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Matthew Alpert

Dr. Matthew Alpert graduated with clinical honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. He practices in and runs Alpert Vision Care, a three generation optometric practice that has been servicing the Los Angeles area for over 70 years. Dr. Alpert won the prestigious “Young Optometrist of the Year Award” in 2005 for providing superior care to his patients, community and the profession of Optometry. He is the past president of the San Fernando Valley Optometric Association and has been a board member for over 10 years. The American Optometric Association chose Dr. Alpert to be the liaison for the “Eye on Nutrition” ad campaign, where he was featured on nation television discussing the role of nutrition and ocular health. Dr. Alpert served on the founding advisory board for the TLC laser eye center in Encino, California. Dr. Alpert has conducted numerous studies for the contact lens industry and has recently been featured in the Optometry Times. Dr. Alpert is the Pacific Southern Regional Chairman in Professional Relations for Vision Service Plan, the largest managed vision care company in the United States with over 55 million covered patients. He has been a delegate to the California Optometric Associations, Congress and President's council. Dr. Alpert resides in Calabasas with his wife Melissa and two daughters, Chloe and Juliet.

Dr. Garineh Nersisyan

Dr. Nersisyan is a 2010 graduate of Southern California College of Optometry. She received her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Physics from California State University, Northridge in 2006. Her optometric experience includes externships at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona and Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles. Understanding the importance and role of ethics in optometry, she was the recipient of the Ethics Endowed Scholarship in 2009.

Currently she practices full-scope optometry in southern California. In addition to primary care, pediatrics, and contact lenses, she is glaucoma certified and licensed to treat ocular diseases. Dr. Nersisyan is a current member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. She is active in community service and has volunteered as an optometrist for the Special Olympics and participated in several vision screenings. She is also working on becoming a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.

In addition to English, she speaks fluent Armenian.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family, and enjoys the outdoors with her husband and Great Pyrenees.
